About Motion Carried
Hi, I'm Melissa. I built Motion Carried for boards that want to stay independent—and operate like pros.
After more than 15 years in operations—and time working directly alongside HOA boards—I kept seeing the same gap: independent boards often have the judgment, authority, and commitment to govern well, but no dedicated back office to turn decisions into organized work and clear communication.
Motion Carried fills that gap. I bring structure, writing, decision support, documentation, and follow-through together so volunteer boards spend less time chasing loose ends and more time governing their community.
The Board keeps the authority. Qualified professionals advise. Vendors execute. Motion Carried keeps the operational thread connected—so decisions become action, residents get useful information, and the next meeting starts with clarity instead of cleanup.

Is Motion Carried an HOA management company?
No. Motion Carried is outsourced board operations and community communications support. We do not take over enforcement, banking, collections, inspections, vendor supervision, legal advice, or the Board's decision-making authority.
What doesn't Motion Carried do?
We deliberately do not provide violation enforcement, collections or bank control, property inspections, vendor supervision, legal or accounting advice, or 24/7 emergency response. Those responsibilities stay with the Board or the appropriate qualified professional. Our lane is board operations, decision support, documentation, communications, and follow-through.
Who is this designed for?
Our launch focus is independently managed HOA and condominium boards that want to remain self-managed but need professional administrative and communications support.
Can we start with one project?
Yes. The Board Operations Reset is designed for that. It gets the operating structure in place first, and the founding pilot fee is credited toward Month One if you move into monthly support within seven days.
What about urgent resident notices after hours?
Priority Communications Coverage is available as an add-on for time-sensitive communications. Motion Carried handles the message, not the emergency itself, and requires verified facts plus authorized distribution instructions.
Do you replace our attorney, accountant or vendors?
No. We make it easier for the Board to work with them by organizing information, tracking decisions and deadlines, and communicating approved information clearly.
